Propagation
Sow seed when ripe in a pot and maintain a temperature of 18º to 21º C. (64º to 75º F).Grow on in pots for one season before planting out.


Botanic information
Leaf: The leathery adult parpinnate leaves have 3, 5 or up to 12 elliptical to ovate leaflets that are heavily dotted in oil glands. The petioles are up to 25mm (1in) long and leaflets are arranged in opposite pairs. They have slightly undulating margins and the apex is acute.

Flower: The small honey-scented creamy-white crateriform flowers are arranged in a terminal panicle that appears during early summer but may vary and a tree may not flower for the first 50 years.The small bisexual flowers have tiny ovate sepals and 5-petals that are up to 4mm (?in) long with alternate arranged stamens. It has 5-celled ovary with 2-ovules in each cell.

Fruit: The glabrous smooth woody capsule has 5-boat shaped valves that separate from each other to release seeds that are winged at both ends and are up to 60mm (2?in) long. The seeds are viable and germinate readily.
