Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 19º to 27º C. (66º to 81º F).
Semi hardwood cuttings taken during summer and apply bottom heat.
Botanic information
Leaf: The glossy elliptical leathery leaves are up to 115mm (4½in) wide with an acute to obtuse apex and pinnate veins that are raised on the underside. The petiole is up to 55mm (2?in) long with a prominent wing on either side.
Flower: The bright yellow crateriform flowers have 5-fleshy green sepals and 5-petals with numerous white stamens and 2 to 4 flowers are arranged in a terminal panicle. They appear from late spring to early summer.
Fruit: The rounded green capsule dehisces into 6-red pink segments that lay flat and contain a single creamy-white seed in each carpel. The arils (white part) are editable and used by the Aboriginals.
