Propagation
Sow seed when ripe in pots and place in an open frame to germinate and keep moist.


Botanic information
Leaf: The pendant lanceolate leaves are pale-green when young maturing to dark green and have a very undulating margin. The apex is long acuminate and the petiole is short.

Flower: The bisexual stellate flowers have a thin calyx and 6-spreading pointed waxy petals. Each flower contains numerous spirally arranged stamens and pistils. The flowers are arranged in an axillary panicle with a slender pedicle and appear during spring.

Fruit: The fleshy reddish black berry-like capsule has a short stalk and contain 1 to 5 seeds. The local bats eat the mature fruit and spread the seeds.
