Propagation
Plant fresh seeds in a deep container to 150mm (6in) deep during spring, keep moist and maintain a temperature of 19º to 27ºC. (66º to 81ºF).

Sporadic germination may take up to 4 months. Avoid allowing the seed to dry out before sowing.


Botanic information
Leaf: The petiole is up to 300mm (1ft) long and the pinnate fronds have 600mm (2ft) long wedge-shaped leaflets with a jagged apex or are split. They are arranged in bundles in 2-planes along the rachis with pendant tips creating a plumose effect.

Flower: The short single branched panicle appears below the crownshaft and the unisexual cyathiform flowers are arranged in clusters and appear during late winter.

Fruit: The ellipsoid drupe is arranged in large pendant clusters and turns orange-yellow when ripe.
