Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 19º to 27º C. (66º to 81º F).
Soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during spring and semi hardwood cuttings taken during summer.
Botanic information
Leaf: The glossy dark green leaves are oblong to elliptical with an acuminate apex and a very short petiole.
Flower: The fragrant white tubulate flowers have a long perianth tube and 4-expanding lobes and 8-exserted stamens with yellow anthers. They are arranged in an umbel-like cluster on a short peduncle and appear directly from the branches or trunk in clusters during late spring.
Fruit: The small glossy berry-like red drupe has seeds with little or no endosperm andare viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
