Semi hardwood cuttings taken during summer and apply bottom heat.
Air layering during the growing period.


Botanic information
Leaf: The bright green leaves are oblong to ovate with prominent veins. The apex is acuminate and the base may be slightly cordate. The leaves are eaten as a spinach substitutein some islands.

Flower: The tiny male apetalous flowers have tufts of stamens and the female contain a solitary ovary. They are arranged in a globular corymb and may appear on different trees (dioecious) from summer to autumn but in tropical regions the flowering period varies.

Fruit: The elongated achene may be ridged or winged with a very sticky exocarp. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
