Propagation
Surface sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media, and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F). Prick out and pot up when they are large enough to handle.
Botanic information
Leaf: The juvenile leaves are broad ovate up to 220mm (8?in) long by 140mm (5½in) wide and are pubescent along the petiole and veins. The glabrous adult leaves are broad-lanceolate to lanceolate to 35mm (1?in) wide with a petiole up to 20mm (µin) long. The apex is long acuminate and the base is cuneate.
Flower: There are 3 to 7 flowers arranged in umbles that are appear in a large terminal corymbose panicle. The ovoid buds are almost sessile and are up to 6mm (¥in) wide and the operculum is hemispherical.The flowers appear during spring.
Fruit: The ovoid to globular sessile capsule has a broad descending disk and the 3-valves are deeply enclosed.
