Sow fresh seed during spring or autumn in pots.
Cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring to early summer.


Botanic information
Leaf: This variable leaves are ovate to elliptical with an obtuse to acute apex and a rounded base. The tiny petiole is up to 6mm (¥in) long and the glossy upper surface is covered in oil glands, the lower is pale dull green. When crushed the leaves are aromatic.

Flower: The crateriform flowers have 4-small sepals and 4-spreading rounded white petals with a central cluster of creamy-white stamens with yellow anthers. They have a long pedicle and appear solitary or in small clusters along the stems or terminally from late spring to early summer.

Fruit: The globose to slightly flattened succulent berry has the persistent calyx lobes at the apex and contains a single seed that is viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.The editable red fruit is tasty.
