Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring in pots and place in a cold frame to germinate in cool climates.
Semi-hardwood tip cuttings taken during summer apply bottom heat.


Botanic information
Leaf: The glabrous glossy dark green leaves are elliptical to obovate with an emarginate apex and a short petiole. The texture is leathery and the margin may be slightly serrated or undulated.

Flower: The tiny white flowers have 5-sepals and 5- petals that are partly connate and are arranged in axillary clusters or may be solitary. The male and female flowers appear on different plants (dioecious) during spring.

Fruit: The globose berries contain many seeds thatare viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
