Propagation
Surface sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media, and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F). Prick out and pot up when they are large enough to handle.

Soft tip or semi-hardwood cuttings during late summer to early winter and apply bottom heat.


Botanic information
Leaf: The almost sessile dark green leaves are oblong to oblong-ovate with an acute apex.

Flower: The tiny creamy white cyathiform flowers have 3-4 tepals. The male flowers are arranged at the base of the branches and the female appear in a compact axillary cyme during late spring.

Fruit: The tint fruit is tiny achenes (seeds) that are not commonly used and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.


Culture
This plant requires temperatures above 12ºC (55ºF) during winter and placed in bright indirect light. It is an easy plant to grow and propagate.

Watering
Water regularly during summer allowing the soil too become partially dry before re-watering.
In winter use tepid water more sparingly. Do not allow the soil to become wet.

Humidity
During summer mist the leaves during daylight regularly to maintain a humid environment.

Re-potduring spring but in some countries Pilea cadiereiis regarded as an annual.
