Propagation
Surface sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media, and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F). Prick out and pot up when they are large enough to handle.

Cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring to early summer.


Botanic information
Leaf: The mid green leaves are broad-ovate to oval with a serrate to dentate margin and an obtuse apex. The petiole is up to 10mm (?in) long and the surface is covered in bristle-like hairs. The upper surface has darker veins giving it a marble-like appearance and the underside is pale green.

Flower: The flowers have pubescent pointed calyx lobes and the corolla is tubulate to campanulate with spreading lobes. It has 4-stamens with long slender arched filaments and the ovoid ovary is superior. They appear solitary in the leaf axils from late winter to summer.

Fruit: The persistent calyx is attached to the tiny capsule and the seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.The flowering and fruiting period may vary in tropical regions.
