Propagation
Surface sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media, and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F). Prick out and pot up when they are large enough to handle.


Botanic information
Leaf: The upper grey green leaves are ovate with an obtuse apex and the lower leaves are lyrate-pinnatifid. They are covered in a soft downy pubescence and the petiole is up to 30mm (1?in) long.

Flower: The crateriform flowers have 5-green oblong sepals and 5-spreading petals with 4-red exserted bearded stamens that have white anthers. The green slender pedicle is long and the flowers are arranged in a loose raceme up to 200mm (7µin) long. The flowers appear in the second years of growth during early summer.

Fruit: The small fruit is a 2-locular capsule and the seeds are very viable, self-sow freely.
