Propagation
Surface sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media, and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F). Prick out and pot up when they are large enough to handle.

Botanic information
Leaf: The sessile oblong to obovate leaves clasp the stem and are commonly speckled in white on the upper surface. The apex is obtuse and the leaves tend to droop.

Flower: The yellow tubulate flowers have 5-sepals and 5-petals that are fused to form a tube with reddish to violet markings at the base and bellows at the opening. There are 5-stamens that are enclosed and the style is slightly exserted. They are arranged in a pendant terminal cyme that is accompanied by leaf-like bracts during spring.

Fruit: The fruit contains 2-nutlets with seeds that are very viable.
