Botanic information
Leaf: The flattened leaves are narrow spathulate to obovate-spathulate or linear with a short flattened petiole. The apex is obtuse and the glossy green lamina is fleshy.

Flower: The small funnelform flowers have 5-oblong pointed petals that are yellowish at the base and expand in a fan-shaped. They are arranged singularly or in pairs and held above the foliage on a peduncle up to 20mm (µin) long and appear during summer.

Fruit: The obovoid green fleshy drupe is tinted red and contains a narrow compressed winged seed with copious endosperm. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
