Propagation
Surface sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media, and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F). Prick out and pot up when they are large enough to handle.

Cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring to early summer.


Botanic information
Leaf: The small green-brown linear leaves are arranged in opposite pairs or fascicles with yellowish petioles. The apex is obtuse and the mid rib is prominent.

Flower: The tiny male and female funnelform flowers have 4 to 5 narrow-oblong obtuse lobes and exserted stamens. They are solitary appearing terminally on a short branch on different plants (dioecious) during late spring.

Fruit: The small translucent pale blue berry-like drupe is globose with darker flecks. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
