Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F).
Cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring to early summer.
Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves vary from narrow to broad-lanceolate and are up to 28mm (1?in) wide with an acuminate apex and petiole that is up to 10mm (?in) long. The upper surface is pale green and the underside is silvery.
Flower: The bright yellow stellate flowers have 3mm (?in) long triangular calyx segments and pointed oblong petals up to 7mm (¥in) long, both pubescent on the underside. The pedicle is up to 4mm (?in) long and the flowers are arranged in terminal or axillary panicles that is up to 50mm (2in) long and appears from late spring to early summer.
Fruit: The oblong drupe is dark red to black and the small seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
