Propagation
Sow fresh seed in spring in a prepared bed or place in an open frame to germinate.
Semi-hardwood tip cuttings taken during summer apply bottom heat.
Botanic information
Leaf: The light green leaves are ovate to ovate-elliptical up to 33mm (1¥in) wide and has an acuminate apex. The underside is very pale green and the petiole is up to 10mm (?in) long.
Flower: The tiny whitish crateriform flowers have pointed ovate calyx lobes and 5-sprading or reflexed petals. They are arranged in an axillary cyme that is up to 30mm (1?in)in diameter and appear during late spring.
Fruit: The tiny rounded capsule splits with 2-valves and contains tiny greyish seeds thatare viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
