Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 19º to 27º C. (66º to 81º F).
Cuttings of non-flowering shoots during summer.


Botanic information
Leaf: The elliptical to obovate leaves are up to 35mm (1?in) wideand have an acute apex and a cuneate base with a short petiole or sessile. The leaves are arranged in whorls of 3-5 towards the end of the branches.

Flower: The campanulate flowers have 5-narrow lanceolate sepals and 5-reflexed pointed petals that are up to 10mm (?in) longand are paler on the outside. The 3 to 5 male flowers or 1 to 3 female flowers are arranged in a terminal umbel and appear during spring.

Fruit: The broad ovoid woody capsule has 2 to 3 valves and contains numerous seeds that are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
