Propagation
Sow fresh seeds during autumn and place in a cold frame to germinate.
Division of the clump during spring.
Softwood cuttings of non-flowering shoots during the growing period.

Note
All parts of the plant if ingested it may cause a stomach upset and contact with the sap may irritate the skin.


Botanic information
Leaf: The almost glabrous grey green leaves are linear to linear-oblanceolate with an acute apex. They are arranged densely along the stems and tend to curved downwards.

Flower: The golden yellow stellate flowers have 5-sepals and 5-spreading petals with small exserted stamens. They are arranged in a terminal panicle-like cyme that is held above the foliage on a leafy stem that appears during summer.

Fruit: The small star-shaped follicle produces numerous seeds that are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
