Soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring and semi hardwood cuttings taken during late summer.
Botanic information
Leaf: The oblong leaves are up to 33mm (1¥in) wide with a wrinkled upper surface with embossed veins and slightly recurved margins. The underside has prominent veins and is covered in stellate tomentose which extends to the 10mm (?in) long petiole.
Flower: The apetalous flowers have 5-tiny sepals and no petals. The 5-stamens are exserted and the style is short. The flowers are arranged in a terminal panicle that is covered in stellate tomentose and appears during spring.
Fruit: The small capsule is surrounded by the calyx-tube and has the persistent sepals attached. The dried capsule opens and has 1-dark seed in each of the 3-cells. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
