Propagation
Division of the clump during late winter or spring and re-plant in situ in a fresh bed from autumn to early spring with the top of roots just below soil surface.

Sow fresh seeds during spring but they may not grow true to form.

Botanic information
Leaf: The basal dark green long linear (grass-like) leaves up to 500 mm (20 in) long and tend to become lax as they mature. The apex is accumulate and the underside is keeled.

Flower: The fragrant (Honeysuckle-like) yellow funnelform flowers are up to 100 mm (4 in) long and have3-sepals and petals. The throat of the flower may have a contrast colour and contains 6-stamens that have 2-lobed anthers. They are arranged in a terminal cluster on a tall branched scape that appears during spring and are pollinated by insects.

Fruit: The small 3-valved loculicidal capsules contain several seeds that are viable but the plant is reproduced vegetatively to maintain true to type.
