Leaf: The variable mid greeen pubescent oblanceolate leaves have an entire-undulating to pinnatifid margin. The apex is acuminate and the reddish petiole is short.
Flower: The broad funnelform flowers open during sunset and turned pinkish during the next day. They appear solitary in the leaf axils and are held above the foliage on a slender reddish pedestal during early summer.
Fruit: The small capsule contains the numerous seeds that are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively to maintain true to type.
