Sow seed when ripe or during spring in pots and place in a protected environment.
Tip cuttings taken during the growing period.
Botanic information
Leaf: The sessile leaves are lanceolate to elliptical with accumulate apex and a mucronate tip. The underside is covered in white hairs that extend to the reddish margins and the upper surface is dark green.
Flower: The 5-petals salverform flowers are arranged in a flat cyme that is held above the foliage on slender reddish scape. They appear profusely from late spring to early summer.
Fruit: The small 3-valved capsule contains the numerous seeds that are viable but the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
