Propagation
Semi hardwood cuttings taken during late summer to autumn, up to 50mm (2in) long and apply bottom heat.
Mound layering during spring.
General pruning information
Tolerates a light prune to maintain shape and encourage new growth. Do not prune into old wood as it will not regenerate.
Botanic information
Leaf: The sessile dark green linear leaves have an obtuse apex and are arranged spirally in groups of four.
Flower: The nodding urceolate flower have 4-petals and 8-stamens with a very short pedestal. They are arranged in a terminal umbel that appears during summer. The spent flowers change colour to a warm brown and persist on the plant throughout winter.
Fruit: The tiny fruit is a four-celled dehiscent capsule that contains numerous small seeds that are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
