Soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring and semi hardwood cuttings taken during late summer.
Botanic information
Leaf: The variable leaves are lanceolate to linear-lanceolate, ovate to elliptical with a coarsely serrated margin. The leaf base is cuneate with a very short petiole up to 5mm (? in) longand the apex is acute. The underside is dull green and the leaf is almost glabrous.
Flower: The cyathiform flowers have 4-green acute calyx lobes and 4-unequal white petals with pink to purple veins. They have long slender pedicles that are up to 50mm (2in) long and are arranged in a raceme that is held above the foliage on a dark pubescent peduncle, up to 100mm (4in) long and appear during summer.
Fruit: The tiny glabrous capsule is up to 3mm (? in) wide. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively to maintain true to type.
