Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring in pots and in cold climates place in a cold frame to germinate.
Division of the clump during spring and reduce the foliage.


Botanic information
Leaf: The leathery dark green long-linear flat leaves are densely arranged in basal tufts and are upright to arching with a long acuminate apex.

Flower: The small crateriform flowers are iris-like with 3-petals and 3-bronzy sepals that form a loose cup-shaped. There are 3 to 6 flowers arranged in a panicle that is held above the foliage on a slender scape and appear from late spring to early summer.

Fruit: The golden-brown capsules release seed when ripe andare viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
