Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring in pots and place in a cold frame to germinate in cool climates.

Semi hardwood cuttings taken during summer and placed on a misting bench.


Botanic information
Leaf: The leathery textured leaves are broad-ovate to ovate-oblong up to 70mm (2? in) wide with an obtuse apex. The upper surface is glossy yellow-green and the underside is dull green with a petiole to 25mm (1in) long.

Flower: The tiny male and female cyathiform flowers are 5-merous and are arranged in an axillary panicle up to 76mm (3in) long. They appear on seperate trees (dioecious) during late spring.

Fruit: The fleshy oblong drupe produce a solitary seed that isviable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively. Male and female trees are required to produce fruit.
