Propagation
Surface sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media, and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F). Prick out and pot up when they are large enough to handle.

Semi-hardwood tip cuttings taken during summer apply bottom heat.


Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves are ovate to ovate-oblong with sharply pointed dentate-serrate margins. The upper surface is covered in fine tomentose and the underside is densely white-grey tomentose extending to the 12mm (½in) long petiole and branchlets. The apex is acuminate and the base is cuneate.

Flower: The radiate flowers have narrow white ray florets yellow disk florets and the flower head has a long peduncle. They are arranged in large upright branched corymb to 150mm (6in) wide and is covered in appressed tomentum. They are nestled amongst the foliage and appear from late spring to early summer.

Fruit: The tiny grooved pubescent achene has unequal villous pappus. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
