Soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring and semi hardwood cuttings taken during late summer.
Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green ovate leaves have margins that are serrulate to entire with an acute to acuminate apex and a short petiole. The underside is pubescent and the upper surface has a quilted texture.
Flower: The double cyathiform flowers haveof 4- sepals and 8-obovate petals with many central stamens with yellow anthers. They are arranged in aloose axillary raceme with up to 7-blooms and appear from late spring to early summer. Cultivars may have semi-doubleflowers and some have no fragrance.
Fruit: The small dehiscent capsule is 4 celled and contains many seeds. It is persistent on the plant and the small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively to maintain true to type.
