Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º-64ºF) for 24 hours. Seeds may require scarification.
Botanic information
Leaf: The long linear to narrow oblong leaves are up to 4mm (?in) wide with a prominent mid rib on the glossy upper surface. The underside is densely covered in brownish tomentose and the petiole is short also covered in fine hairs.
Flower: The small mauve papillionate flowers have a yellow centre and are arranged in an axillary cluster along the stems appearing profusely during spring.
Fruit: The globular pod is covered in fine hairs and contains small hard coated seeds.
