Propagation
Surface sow seeds immediately after collecting and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F). Prick out when large enough to handle and pot up.


Botanic information
Leaf: The bright pinnate leaves may be twice divided with erect terete segments that are not pungent.

Flower: The tubulate flowers have a perianth tube that is divided into 4-segments and the flowers are arranged in a cone-like terminal inflorescence. They appear during midsummer.

Fruit: The oblong mature cone contains tiny achene that are normally released after fire.
