Botanic information
Leaf: The sessile dark green leaves are broad-linear to lanceolate and covered in fine pubescence.
Flower: The tubulate flowers have 5-sepals and a split tubular corolla with 5- petals that spread out like a fan and yellowish towards the base. They are accompanied by linear bracts and appear in the leaf axils on the upper part of the stem during summer.
Fruit: The tiny fleshy, dark-blue to purple drupe normally contains 2-seeds that are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
