Propagation
Stratify fresh seeds for 2 to 3 months at 5º C (41ºF) then sow in spring and maintain a temperature of 19º to 27º C. (66º to 81º F). Seeds may be sown directly into the ground or in containers.

Greenwood cuttings taken during early summer and dipped into hormone powder, then placed in a well-drained media.


Botanic information
Leaf: The oblong leaves have a long acuminate apex and a yellowish petiole up to 30 mm (1? in) long. The new foliage is bronze-red becoming and dark green as they mature is then turn red-yellow during autumn. The reddish pointed buds have imbricate scales.

Flower: The small white cyathiform flowers appear in clusters of 3-5 with the new foliage during spring.

Fruit: The magenta red cherry-like drupe contains a single seedthat is viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
