Propagation
Soft tip cuttings taken during spring and stem cuttings taken during the growing period. Place in a well-drained media and maintain a warm humid environment until rooting occurs.
Botanic information
Leaf: The glossy green leaves have a leathery texture with 2 to 3 pairs of depressed veins on the upper surface. The apex is long-acuminate (tail-like) and the base is cordate with a short petiole.
Flower: The small spadix is up to 150 mm (6 in) long and is greenish with a red purplish tinge towards the inside base. The flowering period is during summer but may vary in tropical climates and the flowers rarely appear in cultivated plants.
Fruit: The berry contains small seeds that is not commonly used and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
