Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º-64ºF) for 24 hours. Seeds may require scarification.
Botanic information
Leaf: The glabrous pinnate leaves have oblong pinnae up to 15 mm (? in)long with the apex slightly or prominently recurved.
Flower: The tint tubulate flowers appear in a pale yellow globular cluster and there are 11-26 are arranged in a two headed axillary raceme. The peduncle is up to 12 mm (1in) long and the flowers appear from early to late spring.
Fruit: The flattened pod is up to 6 mm (¥ in) wide and contains oblong to elliptical seeds that are up to 4 mm (? in) long.
Pruning
Tolerates a light prune after flowering back to a node, remove any dead wood back to the collar. If there is insufficient light towards the base of the tree prune the crown to allow the light in. The plants tend to be easily damaged by wind or borers, and damaged material should be removed.
