Soft tip or semi hardwood cuttings from summer to autumn.
Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green narrow-ovate leaves are densely covered in whitish pubescence. The undulating margin is irregularly toothed and the apex is acute. Both thereddish petiole that is up to 15mm (?in) long and the branchlets are pubescent.
Flower: The short stalked cyathiform flowers have of 5-pointed petal-like sepals with a prominent mid-rib and are covered in stellate tomentose. The tiny purplish-black obovate petals appear at the base of the stamens. The flowers are arranged in an arching axillary raceme that appears during spring.
Fruit: The small follicle splits open to release the seeds that are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
