Propagation
Surface sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media, and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F). Prick out and pot up when they are large enough to handle.
Soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during the growing period.
Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves are obovate to oblanceolate or spathulate with an obtuse apex and a narrow-cuneate base, with a short petiole. The margin may be slightly crenate towards the apex and both surfaces are dotted in oily-glands.
Flower: The stellate flowers have 5-pointed narrow-elliptical petalsand 10-long-slender exserted stamens. Theyare arranged in a terminal corymb that is up to 40mm (1?in) wide on a slender reddish pubescent peduncle during early spring.
Fruit: The tiny capsule has 1-5 segments and contains seeds with endosperm. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
