Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º-64ºF) for 24 hours. Seeds may require scarification (peeling treatment).
Semi hardwood cuttings taken during summer and apply bottom heat.

Botanic information
Leaf: The grey green leaves are dissected into numerous lobes that are up to 7 mm (¥ in)long with recurved margins and a mucronate apex. The upper surface is glabrous and the underside is slightly pubescent.

Flower: The small tubulate flowers have a pedestal up to 12 mm (½in)long and the waxy oblong reddish perianth segments are up to 12mm (½ in) in length witha protruding curved red style to 20mm (µ in) long.

The flowers are arranged in an a almost sessile terminal or sometimes axillary raceme with up to 3 flowers and are accompanied by imbricate bracts at the base up to 8 mm (? in) long. The flowers appear sporadically from winter to spring and are pollinated by birds.

Fruit: The oblong to ellipsoidal follicle is up to 6 mm (¥ in) wide with a hairy brownish pericarp and contains a single elliptical seed to 8mm (? in) long with a short triangular apical wing. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
