Propagation
Sow fresh seeds in containers and place in a warm humid environment to germination occurs.
Division of the tuber during early spring or in tropical climates throughout the year.


Botanic information
Leaf: The glossy dark green bipinnate leaves have up to 7-sections that are held above the ground on a slender dark petiole to 1 m (3ft) long. Each pinnule consists of 7-30 leathery textured lanceolate leaflets that are up to 150 mm (6in) long with an acuminate apex.

Flower: The yellowish ovoid male cone is up to 50 mm (2in) tall, normally appearing in clusters up to 12 at the base of the plant. The larger oblong globose female cone is up to 100mm (4in) long appearing at the base of a different planted. The flowering period is during early summer but may vary in tropical climates.

Fruit: The dark glossy green female cones is up to 30 mm (1? in) wide and contains purplish green oval seeds that are up to 30 mm (1? in) long. The small seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
