Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 19º to 24º C. (66º to 77º F)


Botanic information
Leaf: The small grey green scale leaves have an obtuse apex and are arranged in whorls of three appressed along the angular branchlets.

Flower: The male catkin-like cones appear terminally or towards the end of the branchlets. The female cone is solitary or in a small cluster with a short pedicle and is accompanied with 2-woody scales. They appear during spring.

Fruit: The red-brown fruit is ovoid-conical with 6-smooth textured valves and is up to 20mm (µin) wide. The fruit is persistent on the plant through out the year.
