Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º-64ºF) for 24 hours. Seeds may require scarification (peeling treatment).

Pruning
Tolerates a light prune after flowering back to a node, remove any dead wood back to the collar. If there is insufficient light towards the base of the tree prune the crown to allow the light in. The plants tend to be easily damaged by wind or borers, and damaged material should be removed.


Botanic information
Leaf: The sessile ovate to triangular grey green phyllodes appear as continuous lobes along the stems in one plane and are up to 25mm (1in) wide at the base. The texture is thick-leathery and occasionally undulating with a pointed apex. The new growth is reddish.

Flower: The tiny tubulate flowers are arranged in a small globular raceme with a peduncle up to 18mm (µin) long andappear in the leaf axils during spring.

Fruit: The coiled or twisted flattened pods are up to 4mm (?in) wide and contain oblong seeds that are up to 35mm (1?in) long with a conical terminal aril.
