Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green trifolate leaves are composed of narrow elliptical to ovate leaflets that are up to 50mm (2in) long by 10mm (?in) wide and are aromatic when crushed. There margins are slightly recurved and the apex is acute.
Flower: The small cyathiform flowers have 4-narrow sepals with an acute apexes and 4-petals that are up to 4mm (? in) long and have 4-stamens. They arearranged in a loose axillary cyme that appears during spring.
Fruit: The small dry capsule is dehiscent and has 1-seed per carpel. The small seeds are viable but the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
