Botanic information
Leaf: The dull green leaves are lanceolate to ovate with 3-longitudinal bowed-veins on the upper surface and the underside is ash-grey in colour. The leathery textured leaves are pinkish when young with an acuminate apex and a short petiole.

Flower: The tiny uni-sexual cyathiform flowers have 6-spreading greenish perianth segments with 6-protuding stamens. They are arranged densely in a pendant umbel with a slender peduncle and appear from late spring to early summer.

Fruit: The globular berry contains 1 to 3 seeds and is green maturing to black. The small seeds are viable but the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
