Division of the clump during early spring while dormant.
Botanic information
Leaf: The thin textured dark green linear leaves are up to 5mm (? in) wide.
Flower: The small spikelets have 2 to 7 florets and are arranged in a panicle that is up to 180mm (7in) long and is held above the foliage on a slender scape during early summer.
Fruit: The small caryopsis (seeds) are viable but may be difficult to germinate so the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
