Propagation

Cuttings of non-flowering shoots during summer.
Botanic information
Leaf: The light green narrow-linear leaves have an acuminate apex and are arranged densely along the stems.
Flower: The small tubulate flowers are cylindrical in bud and split open with 4-recurved segments forming a star-shape with 4-protuding stamens. The pedicle is up to 8mm (?in) long and the flowers are arranged in the leaf axils at the end of the branches and appear from summer to autumn.
Fruit: The small drupe may have dark stripes and the tiny seeds are viable but may be difficult to germinate so the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
