Botanic information
Leaf: The jointed dull green linear leaves are terete up to 4mm (?in) diameter and tapering to a sharp point.

Flower: The tiny pale-brown bisexual flower has lanceolate and pointed perianth segments. The flowers are arranged in a clusters which in turn are arranged in a loose panicle up to 100m (4in) long and have an accompanying bract. The flowers appear during summer.

Fruit: The tiny capsule contains many seeds that are viable but the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
