Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º to 64ºF) for 24 hours.

Division of the clump after flowering.


Botanic information
Leaf: The narrow flexible linear leaves are up to 4mm (?in)wide, channelled or recurved up to 4mm (?in) widewith a 1-3 pointed apex, often ragged. The base has dark brown sheathing and the leaves are arching with age.

Flower: The small campanulate male and female flowers have 6-cream coloured perianth segments and stamens. The pendant male flowers are arranged on a raceme or panicle with a short pedicle and appear from late spring to early summer. The female flowers are simular but with a short stalk.

Fruit: The small greenish berry-like capsules are appear in dense clusters. The seeds germinate freely in bare soil in an open position but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively to maintain true to type.
