Propagation
Sow seed when ripe and the plant self seeds freely.
Botanic information
Leaf: The sessile light green lanceolate leaves have a soft texture and are up to 3mm (2/16in) wide with an obtuse apex and the blade forms a 'Y'-shape.
Ligule: thin, white, parchment to 3mm (2/16in) long
Collar: Medium to broad, conspicuous, glabrous
Auricles: Absent; Venation: folded
Flower: The spikelets consist of 3 to 6 small flowers with glumes up to 4mm (?in) long and are arranged in a pyramidal panicle up to 150mm (6in) long. They appear from late summer to autumn.
Fruit: The caryopsis (seeds) are very viable and germinate quickly though has a dormancy period.
