Propagation
Sow fresh seeds in spring or autumn with a night temperature of 12 ºC (54 ºF) and a daytime temperature of 22 ºC (72 ºF). Place in a sunny protected position off the ground.
Semi-hardwood cuttings of non-flowering shoots during spring or autumn and placed on a misting bench.
Botanic information
Leaf: The sessile dark green leaves are bipinnate up to 90mm (3½) wide with pungent linear lobes that are up to 25mm (1in) long. The base of the leaf is winged and the recurved margins commonly enclose the slightly pubescent underside.
Flower: The creamy white salverform flower has a pedicle up to 10mm (?in) long with spreading reflexed perianth segments up to 4mm (?in) long. The exserted pistil is up to 4mm (?in) long and the flowers are arranged in an erect sessile raceme. They appear during spring and are pollinated by insects.
Fruit: The oblong follicle is up to 6mm (¥in) wide with a heavily wrinkled pericarp (hence, corrugata). It contains an obovoid seed up to 6mm (¥in) long with a slightly recurved margin. This plant egenerates from seed after low intensity fire.
