Propagation
Sow fresh seeds in spring or autumn with a night temperature of 12 ºC (54 ºF) and a daytime temperature of 22 ºC (72 ºF). Place in a sunny protected position off the ground.

Semi-hardwood cuttings of non-flowering shoots during spring or autumn and placed on a misting bench.


Botanic information
Leaf: The grey green paripinnate leaves are up to 70mm (2? in) wide with up to 15-pairs of oblong leaflets that are up to 35mm (1?) and are softly brown-villous on the underside.

Flower: The tubulate flowers have perianth segments that are brown-villous and the exserted style is red-maroon tipped in yellow and the pistil is up to 28mm (1?in). The flowers are arranged in a one sided axillary cluster with a villous peduncle and appear during late spring and are pollinated by birds.

Fruit: The compressed oblong follicle is up to 10mm (?in) wide and contains a single winged seed that is up to 20mm (µin) long. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively to maintain true to type.
